A Short Biography of My Life Story

by Charlie Dold

In this short biographical piece, I will try to introduce me, and tell you something about myself and who I am.

Born in 1956, I had a mostly average childhood growing up in Rocky Top. Now, I imagine some of you might not know exactly where Rocky Top is. It is between Walnut Creek and the old bridge off Highway 32.

My interest in playing guitar began while stationed at Subic in the Philippines. My good Navy buddy, George, had this Jimmy Hendricks music. He’s a bad ass!!! Jimmy Hendricks, I mean. And that’s how come I learned guitar.

The Philippines is also where I first seen Pari, who became the Milo bass player. People said "she’s easy", but I didn’t think she was so easy. The first time I had to buy her around about 15 Budweiser’s! Pari was a go-go dancer at the Lucky 7 Bar in downtown Manilla. Now this is no life for a nice girl, so I think "I will take her home with me".

And back home is where I first seen Cindy, who became Milo’s drummer. Cindy’s daughters were named: Ashley, Audrey, Courtney, and Brittany. I remember Cindy being very proud of her double-wide trailer, which wasn’t really a double-wide at all - just two single-wides stuck together with the adjoining walls tore out!  And this is where Cindy lived with her daughters.

Anyway, after the abortion, Cindy joined Milo and we headed up to New York City where there was some mix-up and we didn’t get on MTV and then we signed the 20 albums deal with Bus Stop. And the rest of the Milo story is mostly history.

Now that I have mastered the guitar, I am hoping to apply the same creativity to my new career: Asstistant Manager of the Rocky Top Hickory Smoked Bar B. Q. Restaurant.

I am also working on a biography. I haven’t decided on a title yet, but I’m thinking about: "Charlie Dold: My Life in a Book".

In conclusion, I hope you have enjoyed this short biographical piece of my life story and now know a little about me: Charlie Dold.
